It was 4 in the morning when Bunda Hani woke me up to borrow my flashlight as she would have a pee in the middle of darkness. The electricity turn on at 5 pm and off at 10 pm with exception for charging that always on in most of time, btw. What i got when i reached my flashlight was so many ants surrounding Bu Joko’s and my leg on white covered bed then I and Bunda screamed. We found Bu Joko was still sleeping in peace like we had him last night without any distraction from all the crowd we made and ant-attack.
I went out from our room at a quarter past five and walked around nearby the beach. I saw none there but me and beautiful sunrise. As i tried to reach the bridge in front of Kadidiri Paradise, i found that the connection door between Black Marlin and Kadidiri Paradise was still locked.
The breakfast was ready at 7.
While the Czech Gang were discussing to decide what they would do wether diving or island hopping with us, i went to the resort kitchen to find out what would be our lunch menu. I was just shocked with a flying ready-to-eat-breakfast plate, fork, and knife when i entered the kitchen. Lina, the resort manager, was upset to i did’nt know what and threw that things to the floor as she walked out from the kitchen to her room. Then i saw a young waitress was crying and some old women were in afraid while they still set the food onto the plate. Some employee said that angry Lina was their daily show and it was only a matter of time to get their turn. I went back to the restaurant and sat down with the Czech Gang again and they decided to join with me to do island hopping and snorkeling.
We had to rent float, fin, and snorkel for Rp50.000 per person and buy a big size mineral water for Rp15.000 per bottle as provision beside the lunchboxes. When the boat was ready at a half past eight, we started our voyage to the first destination, California Reef. It took about 80 minutes by regular boat to reach the reef from BM.
Dive Michal dive.
David and Michal did enjoy their diving moment.
As Michal knew that i could’nt dive, he took my picture from deep down the sea.
Had a selfie moment with David.
Bu Joko made a homage to the infamous national TV campaign in 90’s.
Under the sea…. Under the sea… Why there was no mermaid??
Bunda only did a little sight seeing nearby the boat because she could’t swim and afraid to go a bit far even the boat driver and float helped her. And Jan, as he finished to look around the site in 15 to 20 minutes, he went back to the boat and enjoyed the turquoise, blue, green seascape.
With the Czech Gang.
Don’t you think that i had a sun-kissed and glowing face like Farah Quinn? Well, I only need a bule boyfriend with heavy chest hair then. #ngok
And these are our favorite essential beauty products for summer trip.
We moved to the next destination, Bajo Village where you could find a very long bridge connecting one island to another. It took about an hour boat trip from California Reef.
A colorful laundry.
There is a free hut to sit, relax, and enjoy our food where some local children will come to accompany us and you can share your food, stoyy, and laugh with them. We shared our lunch which contained a-too-many-rice, omelette, and fried noodle with them.
When David showed them a magical trick with his yummy and cute face, they did like it and even tried to do it.
You can give them candies, chocolate, noodle, toys, or whatever and they will be very happy to accept your gift.
Im afraid with this scene. -.-
It was a bit hard to get down to the water except by jumping and also to get out of it because there was no stair in the side of the lake. You didn’t have to wear a fin, just float and snorkel to keep the jellyfish from your fin movement. A a side-lake-house nearby the bridge was built to be a jellyfish shelter but had been floated by the stream to another side of lake. There were two kind of jellyfish here, the transparent and the yellow one. I was once being followed by the yellow jellyfish that made me scream and swam back to the side of the lake while it still followed me.
For me, this lake was a bit scary due to its atmosphere, water color, and depth. I imagined there would be a giant monster turned up from the water.
Our next destination was a very serene and beautiful Karina Beach which took only 10 minutes boat trip from jellyfish lake. It felt like having and enjoying a private beach.
That was our last destination from the island hopping that day then we went back to the resort at 4 pm and arrived 40 minutes later. When we arrived at our room and prepared to have a shower, i led my gang to the disunity when i told them what if i join the Czech Gang to Toraja by Thursday. Bu Joko said thats Ok and he might go to Luwuk before going back to Jakarta on Sunday. And Bunda, she surprised us by saying that she would go with Gema and follow him until Palu. I called the airline officer to find out is it okay to catch my flight from Palu to Jakarta in Makassar because i knew that it would be stop for a while in Makassar but the airline officer told me that i couldn’t do that. If i would reroute my flight, I had to pay like 4 millions for business class that still available from Makassar to Jakarta due to the end of public holiday on. I would’t spent that much money for a new ticket. I asked my friend i Jakarta to check another flight from Makassar to Jakarta that day but i still could’nt get the reasonable price one. #mateklahawak #forgetit
I, the Toli-Toli Gang, Bunda, Bu Joko, and Gema (the exotic lonely traveler boy and also Bunda muse) enjoyed our last dinner in Togean. We felt like a group of Indonesian migrant in Hongkong gossiping in the Victoria Park and surrounded by quiet foreigners. #HaveNeverBeenToHongkongBtw
After having the dinner, i sat down with the Czech Gang again and made sure their schedule to Toraja. They asked Lina about public rent car to Togean and she said it could be Rp2.000.000. Then i called a travel agent in Ampana and he said Rp1.800.000. The Czech Gang did’nt deal with Lina and decided to meet the travel agent i called or another. Bunda was a bit confused with her decision to follow Gema, because she would be with him without me and Bu Joko. Bu Joko was the coolest one when he kept reading his book where there was a story about a very beautiful sunset at Luwuk that led him to visit it. Then everyone slept with their own planning and uncertainty for tomorrow.
